Curious Company Enters All Major Creative Rankings

We’ll share a bit of strategic insider info: At the end of 2023, we set ourselves the goal of making it into the ADC Top 35 by 2025(!). Not only did we achieve this goal in 2024, but we even often reached the Top 20 – alongside companies 400x our size. That’s complete madness*

Why is this so incredible?
Because rankings & awards mostly don’t matter much to us (though everyone is happy about them) and we handle them differently than most – as an internal quality check.
Curious Company® consists of 1/3 Tech, 1/3 Business/Strategy, and 1/3 Story (Idea, Concept, …) – meaning 2/3 of the company were initially skeptical of the Art Directors Club (ADC) (Advertisers, tsk!) and had ZERO interest in clever award ideas. So we created an award code:
§1 We use awards as an internal QUALITY CHECK.
An award jury is the toughest form of feedback. Often even stricter than clients or consumers. It would almost be a shame not to use that. Our standard is that our regular day-to-day work, besides achieving measurable goals for clients, ALSO earns recognition from a professional jury. When that happens, of course, we completely freak out 😍

§3 We submit EXTREMELY SELECTIVELY.
In 2024, we submitted to the ADC in 8 categories. That’s it. (We shared half the costs with our clients, very cool.) Meanwhile, other networks submit hundreds or even thousands of entries. Rank 17(!!!) in the ADC ranking was honestly nowhere in our sights. We hoped for one nail, of course. But with 8 submissions: 4x SILVER, 2x BRONZE, 2x HONORABLE MENTION – and into the ranking – that was just insane.
§4 Awards change nothing. They are feedback & NOT HEROIN.
We have a responsibility to ourselves and especially to young talent. Awards can create dependency – eventually, you get annoyed that silver wasn’t gold. Every project has been fun and continues to delight people. Rankings don’t change that. We’re just a little prouder of our work and hope more people see it this way and want to do something similar with us. Phone number’s at the top ✌️
