AI Commercial „A Tale of Love and Rizz“
1 script – 50 implementations – and our contribution with aubergines, rhymes and Gen Z. Our question: What can AI do and what can't it do? Does it ultimately interest people? Our goal: The human soul – produced with AI!
Challenge
This was literally a challenge: Telekom CMO Ulrich Klenke shared a film script (supposedly written by humans) by Ingo Stockholm and asked the community to implement it using AI.
Solution
We did it – and (based on likes) we won! As befits us, we added plenty of human storytelling (including purpose, rhymes, zeitgeist and an aubergine).
A day of ping-pong between man and machine – what a time to be alive!
Strategy
1 script – 50 implementations (with AI)! What can AI do and, more importantly, what can’t it do? And does it ultimately interest people? In short: we were curious!
The script was good: „King sends strong messenger on difficult journey to send queen a short message inviting her for a drink“.
Our initial reactions were: 1. This calls for an interchangeable „Game of Thrones“ AI look. 2. The story (man/woman/drinking) is a bit too old school for us. And 3. It lacked that „special something“ for the time. Our goal: „Human soul“ – produced with AI!

"I am excited to feature the outstanding work of Curious Company®, one of the innovative participants of our Deutsche Telekom AI-ncestors Challenge 👏 They took the given script and powerfully adapted it to champion diversity and a more inclusive society. Their compelling peace transformed the loving couple into two kings and replaced the traditional male hero with a brave female knight. Major applause to Curious Company for this brave and brilliant piece!"Ulrich Klenke (Chief Brand Officer Deutsche Telekom)
Story
We added human soul to the script (completely AI-free up to this point) and simultaneously put our AI pipeline in place:
• We turned the king and queen into two young kings in love.
• We turned the strong messenger into a casual messenger (with subtle magenta braids).
• We turned the „Get drinks!“ message into… an aubergine (as someone wrote on LinkedIn: „Parts of the answer may disturb you“).
• Narrated in classic Shakespearean rhyme scheme with voice-over. (Our voice clone of Cate Blanchett was spectacular – but of course unaffordable (both morally and financially).
• The rhymes played with Gen Z vocabulary (rizz, sus, no cap … anyone over 40 might need to look these up).
Lots of human twist — produced with AI…
Tech
Our exact pipeline for the process is…
Let’s just say that Midjourney wasn’t part of the journey. And we have to keep a little bit of company secrecy, right? 😜
So, let’s just say this: with our setup, we can produce a level of quality that was unthinkable in terms of time and budget just 1-2 years ago. And it’s not just in storytelling that there’s a ping-pong effect between humans and machines… or as we wrote on LinkedIn, it’s like in any field of art: „It’s the people – not the instruments.“
Curious?
We would be happy to tell you what else we do with AI – but we would prefer to do so in person.

Curious about a Demo?
